Lisa Barnard is founder and EcoMind of Brain Lab, a sustainability and branding consultancy. Lisa’s strengths lie in helping companies understand the relevancy of the “green” or “sustainable” movement and positioning brands in this space through authentic communications and cost-effective strategies. Brain Lab’s mission is to help clients build brands through sustainable practices.

Lisa has a B.S. in Merchandising from Oregon State University, is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) through the U.S. Green Building Council, a Certified Green Auditor through D.C. based Strategic Sustainability Consulting and has 15 years under her belt working at some of the best advertising agencies in the Phoenix and Albuquerque areas.

She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Recycling Coalition and EcoMonday. She serves on the Board for the AZ Chapter, Central Branch of U.S. Green Building Council, chairs the Communications Committee and assisted with the Outreach Committee for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Build 2009  as well as the Advisory Committee for the Phoenix Chamber Green Roundtable.

Lisa is an inaugural “Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40” recipient and has been featured in Women’s Health Magazine and local TV stations for her commitment to health and fitness. She also has international experience having lived and traveled abroad growing up, as well as extended travel to New South Wales, Australia as a Rotary Ambassador and Northern India in 2008.
