Denver water campaign

Sustainability simply defined

We’re a small business and a virtual one so our carbon footprint is greatly reduced by not having a physical office space. We pull in team members as needed so we are able to be flexible in meeting client needs, satisfying a variety of individual needs and greatly cut back on commuting. We do meet face-to-face from time to time but for the most part our meetings are conducted via video or conference calls.

Personally some of us are vegetarians, ride mass transit or bikes when we can, grow some of our own vegetables, buy as much sustainably farmed and organic products as possible and exercise often.

As a business we are committed to :

  • Recycling everything that we can
  • Printing 2-sided at the office when we do need to print
  • Using FSC certified papers, soy inks and Chain of Custody certified printers for ourselves and client projects
  • Volunteering countless hours to organizations such the YMCA, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Green Building Council
  • Promoting sustainable building design through our USGBC Arizona Central Branch Membership and LEED AP status
  • Most importantly always trying to use just enough or just what we need

This coming year our biggest goal is to publish our first Sustainability Report for Brain Lab using the Global Reporting Initiative Framework. Stayed tuned as we work on that and refine our own mission and committment around the triple bottom line of sustainability — people, planet and profits.
